Stampede Barbecue started with a simple desire: to share excellent food, specifically great Texas Barbecue, in Southeastern Pennsylvania. Motivated by our passion for cooking and our travels across the South and Midwest, we seized an opportunity by purchasing a small barbecue and catering business in 2012.
After approximately one year of refining our craft, selling at various venues, and looking for a place to call home, we found a quaint stone lot on Route 23 for our smoker and trailers. From 2013 to 2017, we operated as a seasonal roadside barbecue stand, offering picturesque views of Lancaster County, PA.
In 2022 we opened Detwiler Brewing inside the restaurant. It is the only wood-fired brewery in PA, where we craft our own fine ales and wild-fermented cider.
Our goal is simple: to give our communities the best barbecue experience in the region. The careful selection and preparation of premium meats, robust seasonings, and homemade sides and sauces is our dedication made tangible.

The restaurant in Mohnton is open Wednesday through Saturday, and the food truck serves the same days at Ludwig’s Corner in Glenmoore.
